How much calcium should I begiving my breeding age out side russian torts..

While my russians are outdoors I do the following:

1) Spread calcium carbonate (from the garden shop) on the soil in the spring before the torts go out. That will increase the calcium content of the soil and, I hope, the calcium content of any plants in the pen. This is the first year that I have done this.

2) Leave chunks of cuttlebone in the pen.

3) Once every week or so I mix up a batch of chopped squash coated with a fine layer of calcium and vitamin powder and feed it to the torts.
