you know you can take most of what you here from those bunch of screw balls with a grain of salt, hopefully this is a true story & not another one of those bs stories put out by him

normnun May 20, 2004 09:00 AM

Don,t know why you think this might be bs?Who are you tanks?Have we ever met?

alterna63 May 20, 2004 10:03 AM

Norman, this is Wayne Howell. TANKS is Jeff Adams and he is famous for [bleep]ing and raising hell on the forum. He is why Barringer shut down the kingsnake forum for a few weeks a couple of years ago now I believe. Don't worry about him. He just likes to cause trouble. The thing I can't figure out is he is a nice guy when you meet him in person, but on the forum, it's a different story. Congrats on the snakes. Will you be posting them? Or is there something I missed?

normnun May 20, 2004 12:28 PM

Thanks for the info Wayne and congrats on the sanderson. If I can figure out how to get the pics on here I will.Hope to see you out here this year.

Brad Alexander May 20, 2004 05:18 PM

I'm sure you don't remember me as I have no doubt you see tons of alterna nuts out there every year (I'm not so much an alterna nut as much as I am a herp nut). We met briefly at Blackgap last season, I was with Aaron Mattson. Anyway, I would love to see the animals you found at Christmas. If you would like to show them, you can email them to me and I'll post them for you.

(at = @) and (dot = .) no spaces. I'm trying to avoid the damn email spambots.

Take care and I hope your luck/skill continues this year.

yes we meet years ago at buzz's, you told me you have found over 100 alterna on the river. now that usually makes me question things a little?????????

Ric Blair May 20, 2004 11:00 PM

40 on the River Rd and I live in Utah. I caught 7 on my first trip. If you don't believe then ask others who know me and how lucky I was. The next year I found 6. Norm lived right at Lajitas and I personally many of the animals that he has found over the years. When it is good, you can get lucky. Norm was the ever-ready bunnie. He just kept driving and driving and driving. The amount of celaenops he has found is incredible also. Norm din't tell you about the one with 2 heads did he? LOL. I am posting the picutres for norm....Ric

Hey Norm!!!
Great snakes. Hope all is well with you. My boy james and i were just out when rick Green and Melissa were there, only we spent 5 days over on Juno road and just a couple down in the bend. Got a nice light male alterna phase and an annulata (?) looking thing over there.... How are you??? Hugh

Ric Blair May 20, 2004 11:22 PM

Nice find, both of them. I'll be out that way from the 7th until the 11th. I plan on staying to the west and would like to spend a few days in the Huecos. Maybe I'll get to shake your hand again.

Take care,

Brad

NORM!!!! I was there this past weekend, and you told me you hadn't seen a thing. Surely, us being such good Buddies and all, you would not have told me such a fib!!
We did find an alterna the 18th and a milk snake the 19th but never so lucky as to find two alterna in one night on Luna Vista. Shame on you for storying to me Norm...

Ric Blair May 24, 2004 11:32 AM

still has the smarts. Sounds like there were several cars there early on. You know me though Rick, I am just an old Dummy and like to share my info. I get too excited. I guess I could wait until the next day to show them. Ric Blair
