I always read that everyone drops their temps at night but nobody ever says how much so I was just wondering on average what temp everyone is dropping to at night.

At this time of year I keep the hotspot at 92 24hrs a day, later in the year my helix will drop it down to 85 at night. Ambient is anywhere from 78-85 during this time as well.
i let night drop reach around 77...never lower than 75
With our breeding ball pythons we keep the heat tapes on 24/7 between February and October. By mid to late October, we then place the heat tapes on a household timer so that they shut off at night lowering temps to the 72-75 degree mark for approx. 8 hours (it is during this time that breeding takes place). Day temps in the winter are still set for the same as the rest of the year (90-92 deg at the basking spot). If you are simply keeping a ball python, I would recommend leaving the heat tapes on 24/7 and perhaps shut them off for just a few hours during the night during the winter. We keep several "pet" bp's who have their heat on continually throughout the entire year and they do great. Hope this helps, Rob

I don't drop my temps at night although the 'hot' side naturally drops a few degrees. The cool side is thermostat controlled as opposed to rheostat so it doesn't drop at all.

I have no intentional temp drop at night, but it drops a bit naturally. I go 78-82F cool side and 87-90F hot spot during most of the year. The enclosures are long, therefore there is a temp gradient with the middle of the enclosures at mid 80's.
During winter I drop hot spot temp to mid 80's and keep cool side in low to mid 70's (no intentional variation between day and night).

I don't drop the night temps until October cycling begins.

I keep mine about 90-95 degrees in the hot spot from Feb to the end of October during the day. At night, I keep it 10 degrees cooler at 85 degrees during this time.
Take care all,
Jason

At around 5PM, my heat turns off and my cages cool to the ambient temps of the room they are in. This varies in central FL. Currently, the night-time ambient temps are in the low to mid 80s. In the dead of summer, it can hit 90 degrees fairly easy at night!
