oK guys...a couple of questions...mites???

Hayblinkin May 19, 2004 04:21 PM

I know that this isn't the Desert iguana forum, but you guys usually answer me, while the chuckwalla forum doesn't really. I think this is pretty general question. I was looking at one on my Desert igu. today and sae a tiny red bug crawling on him. I looked at him and his 2 mates more closely and found no more of these bugs. I also see none of them in the cage. Do you think this is something to worry about? Also one of my females who I caught mating about a week ago with the male has slowed down with her eating and is sleeping more. She has been in with the male a month last monday. SHe usually eats alot. She even refused her favorite nutri-cal supplement that i give her every morning. DO you think she could be getting ready to lay eggs? or that the red bug somehoow affected her???
HElpp,.....any advice would be welcome...I know their not Geckos but you guys seem to know lots about lizards..

They can be a big problem for plants...but as far as I'm aware don't do anything to animals...I could be wrong though.

-ignorance is not to be punished when one is trying to gain knowledge...what scares me is the vast number of people who, when given the information to gain knowledge, choose to ignore it.
