My baby leo suffered a minor injury

fadetolemons May 19, 2004 04:45 PM

Alright, well i'm not sure what happened but i was looking at my new baby blizzard and in the center of his head there's a little nick, he must have suddenly jumped or something and knocked his head on something, there's a few layers of skin gone, nothing serious, but is there anything i should do? I mean this is a small little scrape, it took me a while to figure out that he was hurt, i thought it was just something stuck on him for a minute. Anyways, should i put neosporin on him to help it heal or anything? or just leave it be?

My baby blizzard had the same thing happen. He was fine when I got him but the second day I noticed a scratch on the top of his head, right in the center. Strange. I just left it and it was gone in a week or so. I wouldn't put any chemicals on it, unless there is no chance it could get in it's eyes.

wow, that's crazy. It's a scratch right in the center of it's head, and it's a baby blizzard i just got. bizzare, coincidence? i think not. anyways, i was thinking just a dab of the gel anti-bacterial neosporin or something, maybe i could dab a tiny bit on w/ a q-tip. otherwise i'm sure it'll be gone in a week like you said, you know how these kids shed their skin so fast.

I honestly wouldn't put anything on it unless you notice it getting worse. If any of that got in it's eye it would probably cause alot of pain, if not something worse.

Here is a picture of her on the third day I think. You can kinda see the scratch.

haha that looks just like my little guy, except mine's a little more purple and less pink, maybe mine's a little younger so he's darker.
