Dinner Time
How many pinks did you feed him? He looks like he could handle a couple of pinks at a time. I usually feed mine 2 at a time and every 4 days. They can digest the pinkies pretty fast, not much bone mass there either, so it helps on the calcium.
It wont be long before he will be able to take a small fuzzy!! I bet he can take a large pink (some people call them peachies)LOL. Just a pinkie that is a few days old and has started to put on just a little peach fuzz. You would be amazed how fast the pinkies grow in just 3 or 4 days!!
Have fun with him and if your not careful you will be like the rest of us, ADDICTED!! LOL
Brian
Glad you are able to handle him and he is eating for you!! Gotta love those rat snakes.
It may be just the flash from the camera, but to me it looks as though your little guy is just starting to go into shed phase. His eyes have a hint of cloudiness in them, and this is usually the first clue that mine are going into shed. Let me know if he is indeed going into shed or not. You should know in a couple of days. He will start looking dull and his eyes will get a bluish color.

yah.. i had noticed that and i am not sure if its the flash or not.. my wife doesnt think he's about to shed but we are not sure.. we are goin to keep an eye on him for that.. we only fed him 1 pinky right now.. we may start feeding him 2 soon.. we ordered some from a place online because locally its expensive..
addicted is an understatement.. my wife likes reptiles.. we have a 4ft Iguana that we raised since it was 6" long and a bearded dragon that was less then 3" long (baby) when we got him and its over a foot long now... reptiles are very addicting..
If he is going into shed, it will be a couple of days before his eyes go completely cloudy. Mine usually take 2 weeks from start to finish and dont eat during that time. Wont hurt them to not eat.
