I bought a baby leo at the reptile show last Saturday for 15 bucks and he is so small! I have never seen one so small before, his eyes are kind of weird compared to other leos. I was wondering if it was because of how young he/she is. Plus, I'm having a hard time getting it to eat, its not a very good hunter at all.

Btw...is it normal for their eyes to look strange when so young?

the eyes on the patternless are normal....they are a bit different from normals...also...what kinda food are u offering them?..might wanna ask the breeder to tell u what kind of insects it was feeding on so they are used to it...usually mealworms in a dish...don't need to be "hunted down"..simply just snatched up..i think thats ur best bet...so privide a small inescapable *inescapable to the mealies...* dish like a ashtray or petri dish and put like 10 mealies in there...small mealies...and try it...

I bought one at Petco and the other at a reptile show. The leucistic one is normal..nothing is wrong or different about its eyes, the smallest normal one is the one with the messed up eyes. They look like they're open really wide all the time

I have a little normal giant and her eyes look that way to. I think the smaller they are the wierder their eyes look...lol they are still very cute though.
