Eggs are stuck together!

dylacat May 20, 2004 10:13 AM

Yesterday morning, I found the 2nd clutch from my leo. The 1st clutch was stuck together, as well, and turned out to be infertile. This time, I see a red bulls-eye on one of the eggs, and the other doesn't seem to have any red. My question is this: if one egg is fertile, and the other is not, what do I do since they're stuck together? She keeps laying them in the middle of the night, so that by the time I find them in the morning, they're stuck together. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks in advance,
Dylacat

Well, from what I've heard other people say, I'd recommend putting them in the incubator as is. You do NOT want to chance tearing/cutting them apart - you could damage the egg.

Eggs stuck together will be fine. Just incubate them like you would any other clutch and don't worry about them being connected. I have had a few like this and they turn out fine. When you get some stuck to the bottom on the egg laying box then its a little more of an issue. Yeah like Crystal said they should be fine.
