good thing you don't live in California, gerbils are illegal here. I have a picky eater (who is finally eating better) and I was going to try and get some used gerbil bedding to keep some rats in and every place I called didn't have them. Finally one lady told me it is illegal to have them in the state of CA.

I had a ball python for 10 years and he was a VERY picky eatter! The guy who owned him before me all he fed him were gerbils because he wouldn't eat mice! I tried to offer him hoppers and he wouldn't touch em. So after him not eatting for 3 weeks I decided to try something. I bought some frozen fuzzies, thawed em out in warm water and exposed the brain. He ate three of em like that. I kept doing that for awhile and he would accept them without any hassle, live or pre-killed. Just keep at it he'll eat. Mine went on a fast for about 7 mths but didn't lose much weight so I wasn't worried. I got out of ball pythons after that! Most people think they are a good starter snake but I disagree. These guys can be pains in the butt!
