St. Timothy.

As a youngster

Are you planning on breeding him? He darkened up a bit, but beautiful nonetheless. Looks like he would make a good Dad

I'm not sure yet. I think he looks really neat but I'm sure
some might think he's ugly. He doesn't have the light browns
of the high contrast IJays that so many people drool over
(myself included!).
I do have an unrelated female
around the same age that may end up getting paired with him.
Here is the female.

I am interested in purchasing carpets in the future and trying to decide which species to buy. Curious, how would you explain your IJ behavior? Everyone I spoke with so far claims they are docile after the first few months. Do you find this to be true? I really like IJs, especially the small size, but find jags strikingly beautiful. Hard call. What impresses me most about IJs are their natural beauty. I am going to a local herp show in a few weeks and hope to compare carpets in person. Can not wait!
BTW, your female is gorgeous! I am sure he would be proud to mount her, LOL!!!

I think IJ is the way to go. My male is docile to the point
of shyness. He doesn't even have much a feeding response.
My female is really chill as well.
If you can afford a Jaguar you should get one. If I a few
grand laying around I'd be more than happy to spend it on
a Jag. ha!
If you do end up getting an IJ I think you'll be more than
pleased. They are great snakes to work with.
Hmm... your female looks much lighter than your male. I can see why you may want to find another male with lighter coloration.
Always fun to dream about future projects
