Val Verde and Uvalde Counties...

jpenney May 20, 2004 05:09 PM

Not a whole lot interesting found. I drove out last night from Uvalde county towards Val Verde county, Texas. Along the way, I found a couple of bullsnakes (AOR), three AOR atrox and one DOR, one great plains rats AOR, 7 or 8 checkered garter snakes, one dor Western Hognose. Once I made it to 277, I only cruised it oncedue to the heavy traffic. I was finding stuff North of Brackettville anyway so I just crept home that route.

Today, I packed up my Kayak early and hit a spot on the Nueces river to do a little fishing. While out on the water, I heard some birds making alot of noise I went to investigate and found this 4 foot feller, climbing a tree. The fishing and solitude was perfect.
