I went to their site looking for a v. salvator and saw that they had baby waters , so i sent an email and asked what type they were. Whether Sumatran , Asian, or Common. They were 99 dollars so i knew they weren't any other of the sub species. Anyway i get an email back telling me that its on their website and that the are baby salvators - no [bleep]!

Most of the dealers are not going to know the locality of the waters they sell. If you ask any of them the locality of their whitethroats they wont know what to tell you either.

Not trying to defend them in anyway, just find it odd that was the reason for you to not buy from them. There is alot worse things they could do than not know locality specifics.

If they had told you sumatran would you then take there word for it even if it may be wrong??

When I was researching, I too was hoping for a ProExotic animal. They were out. I couldn't find anyone with baby salvators besides LLL and Regal Reptiles (who by the way have waters available). I chose LLL and asked the same question you did about locality and got the same answer. But the animal arrived warm and healthy and it has been just fantastic. Eats great and is growing (11 inches in 3 months) and is displaying a great personality. It is the animal that I cared about, I couldn't care less if the dealer knew where it was from. They had the animal and got it to me in good shape. That is all I needed from them. I have since found out that it is a Sumatran (which most are).
