Adult Cages

mytherapy Jun 17, 2003 02:41 PM

I was wondering if the best route to go for an adult iguana cage is to build one rather then paying for a costly large one that would be needed for an adult. My Bud is only a couple months so he/her is happy for now but just thinking ahead. If anyone knows of any good quality but not over priced cages that would be large enough please post them or some sites that give some good ideas on construction on one. Thanks in advance.

Hey there,
Everyone is going to tell you it's best to build your own. Either that or try and find something you can convert into a cage, like a closet. What my girl Rex lives in is a converted display case. I just put linoleum down on the floor this weekend, and that works out real well. She has some driftwoods and her favorite basking shelf, and she's set.
6x6x4 is the most common minimum sizes people cite too.
Good luck!

It's a male.
If it turned out to be a female, it was still going to be Bud, but it would be short for Rosebud.
