Leo question

I have been thinking about getting a leopard gecko or two and I'm not quite sure yet what color morph I want and while I was looking at some websites I saw that some people breed chinese leopard geckos. I'm wondering how (besides how they look) these are different from other leopard geckos. And I'm wondering if there are any color morphs I should stay away from. I'm very familiar with bearded dragons and I know that imbreeding can be a problem with some colors. Any help is welcome!

I think all the color morphs are wonderful from the normal to blazing blizzard, it just depends on your personal preference. There aren't any problems I'm aware of with any particular morphs, no matter what color the gecko is you should always look for the same signs of good health, such as healthy skin, clear eyes, alertness (unless its sleeping of course), clean vent, normal poops, and good appetite. Just be sure you get your gecko from a good source, I wouldn't recommend pet stores. I got Tiny from a pet store and her personality is bizarre, she's very curious of people but doesn't like to be touched. She's pretty healthy luckily though.

my blizzies are beautiful...but a pain in the butt to handle and the such...i found that albinos are calmer when handled..i think its cuz theres light and they close their eyes and become lazy....just my theory...

These geckos are definitely pretty cool... I'm not too terribly familiar with them, but there are some on this forum that have had some experience with them....

In my eyes they look alot like some of the smaller banded geckos. I think they are alot thinner then the typical Leopard Gecko that most people are aware of. The Leopard Gecko Manual has some info on them. You might want to check that out....

Sorry I couldn't be more help.

Take it easy,
- Richie
