setting up my tank for breading bearded dragons .?

sputnikxxx May 21, 2004 10:03 AM

I got two bearded dragons that are about at the age of a year I bought them as a pair at 6weeks old and I have kept them in a 50 gallon tank with a wide piece of bark angled up to the top of the tank on one side and a kind of large but shallow water tank on the other end. Well I am not sure what my female is doing. She runs back and forth in the cage and it never fails every night for the past week or so she has been digging up all the sand on the basking side of the tank and then she digs up the sand around the water dish and puts all the sand in the water dish . I dont think she has any eggs because her belly doesnt look that fat except when she eats of course.. but I just wanted to know if anyone had any good suggestions and pictures of a great tank layout for breeding cause I do want to breed soon.

It might be that your beardie is believing/acting like it will lay eggs,I think its pretty common.I've heard them talking about at other places on Kingsnake

Hope this helps
