Green tree appetite, please help

tps22 May 21, 2004 01:08 PM

My Wamena GTP recently went through his color change from red to a beautiful green and yellow w/ a blue line and triangles on his back. Needless to say he looks great. Before the color tranformation he never turned down a meal. His appetite appears to have subtancially decreased and it can be a chore to get him to eat. He has nly eaten once in the last month. Any help or advice would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you

How old is your chondro? Are you sure it's a male? The answers to these questions may be your key. Most males will start feeding on a sporadic schedule once they hit 18 months to 2 years old. Some of my males will only eat for a few months out of the year. I wouldn't worry too much about it. The first time one of my males fasted, it was for 6 months straight. Needless to say, I was stressed out, but he eventually started feeding again. You'll get used to it.
