If I'm not mistaken, people eat bamboo shoots. The full grown stuff might be too woody for chameleons, but I don't think it's toxic.

You also have to take into consideration that the stuff they sell as "lucky bamboo" isnt actually true bamboo. My Aunt and uncle own a nursery in Florida so I know a little about plants if you want I can contact them to get the scientific name of the "lucky bamboo" and you can go from there to see if you can find info on it.
Lucky Bamboo is a type of dracaenea. Not a true bamboo at all!

It wont hurt anything.
bamboo is ok to use. i use it in seveval of my cages. i'm lucky enough to live close to a river bottom whee the stuff grows wildly. the only problem i have had was that it a little slick. i fixed that by lightly sandblasting it. if you dont have a sandblaster or access to one you can do the same thinkg with course sandpaper.
is that poisonous?

ALOHA,
THE JACKSONS IN KONA (HAWAII) GROW AND LIVE IN BAMBOO FOREST. THEY DO VERY WELL IN THE THICK AND DENSE FOREST! I GUESS IT'S ABOUT PROTECTION TOO! SO I REALLY THINK BAMBOO WOULD BE OKAY, FOR JACKSONS FOR SURE!

Anyone know if Philodendrums are poisonous to Chameleons?
I know they can be bad for some animals but I've never seen it on a reptile list.
Just curious.
