I was looking under some thyme today (don't ask) and found these cool looking beetle larvae that have the color of cooked shrimp. I collected a few to i.d and as i went upstairs in a semi-dark hall I noticed they were glowing! The are lighting bug larvae - I had never seen them before - very cool. yes, I put them back

So here is a pic of the larvae:

and this is blurry but you can see the light! Neat, huh??

They look like little alien bugs. Too bad they're toxic and not good for your Luna!

They're small - less than half inch. Even if they weren't toxic I wouldn't feed them to her - I like lightning bugs Just like I won't feed her the hornworms. :/ LOL!
