I usually catch mine from Rich or other well-known breeders. Some of them can look pretty wild in coloration too.lol....

BUT in all seriousness, I do not suggest collecting from the wild since snakes face so much pressure on their survival as it is.

I think enough people in the past have collected specimens to create what is the largest available, selectively bred captive species ever. I bet at least 75% of ALL herp hobbyists have at least 1 corn in their collections, if not more.

BUT if you are talking about simply photographing and leaving wild corns undisturbed...GOOD LUCK! I've searched for many years and have not found a single one! I think it has more to do with the right place for one thing AND others who have hot spots are reluctant to share for fear of collectors raping the wild. Weather, temps, habitat (trees, bushes, shrubs, underbrush), all sorts of things play into where they lurk.... Depending on your area, do some research into where they have been sighted in the past.

GOOD LUCK!

I was wondering advice on how to actually catch them, get a few nice close ups and release. I would only not release it if it was either a)some kind of morph or b)injured but could be healed.
