Ok experts, I could really use your help...

In August 2002 I bought this female as a teenie-tiny hatchling. Actually, I did what I always tell myself not to do - I bought her because she was so pathetic and small & I felt sorry for her. She was darker and only $10.00. I thought it was just a normal phase. She was so small she could only eat pinky heads... well now she is on rat pups and mice.

I want to breed her to one of my other corns next year but I am really curious as to what you guys think of her. Her body is gray and her saddles are a vibrant red - not dark red or maroon as on most normal corns... Also, she has very little black coloration and almost none on her belly.

Does anybody want to make a guess as to any genes she may be displaying?

Thanks,
Peter Jolles

I would have to say Hypo to start with, but I think that is obvious. As far as the high saddle count and cool coloring, I have no idea, it might have been a genetic fluke in the egg (a birth defect of sorts seeing she was so small) but it makes for a cool looking snake.
Thanks

I would say a crimson (hypo miami)at the very least she is a hypo. Nice snake, very pretty. I would breed her to a hypo or a crimson male to prove her out. Appearance is not enough to tell the genetics and a breeding is the only definitive proof.

I was going to say miami as well, but it looks like maybe a throw back from someone's crimson project. Definately hypo, but the miami characteristics aren't terribly strong.
