Do most breeders gnerally go for female?

fadetolemons May 22, 2004 11:09 AM

I was just wondering if most breeders generally incubate their eggs to try and get more female hatchlings. I'm just trying to predict what the chances of both of my babies being female are. Thanks

It depends. Some people go for a lot of males (Garrick @ crestedgecko.com)and some go for a more balanced ratio.

For smaller breeders, and the like, I would say most incubate for females. Several females can be housed together, unlike males, so to save space, its easier doing female.

I wouldvote for more females then males.
