This is a young male captive bred yellowhead that is getting his dewlap colors. Next season, he'll be a breeding machine.

I think it is really cool how those ring of scales show up so nice around the eyes. Very nice! How old are they when you normally start to see that blue on the dewlap come in?

He was born last July and his dewlap has just started to come in over the last month or so.

That is my backyard. I've been creating a large terrarium for me, the dogs, and the lizards to hang out in. Lots of volcanic rocks and cactus. Substrate is Madison Gold 1/4 at $25 a ton.
