illustrates your question regarding yellow ratsnake or deckerti. My previous post was in reference to my deckerti not developing the color that we think of when you look at a deckert ratsnake. My deckerti are similar to yellow ratsnakes. I posted a pic of one of my yellows above which looks very close to my deckerts. That whole obsoleta complex of quadrivittata, rossalleni, and the variant deckerti have areas in their range where a population of deckerti can look like a population of quadrivittata and/or rossalleni. These areas can be at very low elevations where a hurricane or heavy rain can make it swamp like and there can be gene flow that has occurred for thousands of years at least. Deckerts can look like yellows and everglades in a few or several areas in their range instead of the color and pattern of the key largo population that is representative of a deckerti. Great observation on the pic Travis posted. With the orange tint or shade, you could also think Everglades ratsnake. It's difficult with pics since they may not show all the little colors and shades or faint stripes or blotches may not appear on the pic. The blotches on my deckerts are more pronounce in person than any pic I could come up with.

Key Largo locality, subadult male.
Any questions? LOL.

how can I get some of them!

expect or think of when speaking of the deckerti from key largo. The one on the website of the breeder my trio came from looked like the one in your pic Dwight; even going to a reddish color. Nice deckert rat snake Dwight. Thanks for posting a pic to clarify the quetion on the other post.

This is quadrivittata, not fully mature though.
Here's a pic of my yellow rat. I didn't know or realize you had yellows. I had wondered because I know you have been putting together a great collection of North American ratsnakes. Will you be producing these?

Actually I have a few yellows, 7 or 8, including some anerys
I will have some yellows to produce next year.
Yeah and I can throw some albino in the mix!
