He's doing great. He was out here a couple of weeks ago and we saw some cool herps including all three species of collareds in Az. Only one Chuck from the Estrella Mnts. We only got to view it in a crack and it's color was subdued. I was shocked on how dark my chuckwalla got when he was stressed. Now that he's not stressed, his color is incredible.

except for the unfortunate encounter with a jumping cholla cactus, that is. My hand has still not recovered from the wrath of its spines...

Kristin saw the picture of the jumping cholla and thought it was staged. I assured her it wasn't. When are you coming back out? I saw a couple of male collaris near Lake Pleasant the other day and C. bicinctores on my Mt Bike ride in the White Tanks. Heading towards Bagdad on the next day off.

thanks for asking! I continue to lurk around a few forums... just haven't felt compelled to post in a while. I have to pick my spots, otherwise Eve will start nagging me again about getting a camera! LOL... Do have a decent number of C. dickersonae eggs incubating currently, so I'm hopeful of several new arrivals in the next couple of months...
