Hey, Duffy or anyone with albino Greenish rats

Sonya May 22, 2004 07:38 PM

I thought I read somewhere that Duffy had an albino greenish (the integrade). I have some het for albino and was wondering what the albino look like. So if you could post pictures, aim me at a site or just email a pict to me it would be great.
Email is Castleg1@aol.com
Thanks

Sorry...Still no pics from Duffy. I looked to see if BHB or Dwight had pics of the albino...No such luck. Maybe someone else has seen pics posted. What I can TELL you is that they are very much like most of the other amelanistic ratsnakes, but less "pink" than the albino black rat...More of a salmon or peachy color. Mine has lots of yellow on the throat and on down. Hey...How old are your hets? You aren't in Ohio, are you.
Mine is a male, and he hasn't eaten since May 1st. He's crawlin' all over the place "lookin' for love"!!!
One of these days I'm going to have to get a digital camera...Don't you think? :D

Yes! I think you should get a digital camera! I had looked for picts too but no luck. Maybe I will email Dwight Good and see if he has some picts. I am in central upstate NY.
Mine are 02s and putting on size well. They are a couple hundred grams right now. I got them from a friend who got them from Dwight and I may be getting more. So I have only had them a couple months. All are, so far, very good eaters. My Black ratsnakes are eating well too. But the male is just getting 'to that age'. Though my adult Everglades is off food right now. Since he is a garbage can much of the year he can go off food for now with no loss. He is burning some off with his 'pacing'.
