how many couperi clutches does everyone have this year?

Carmichael May 22, 2004 09:27 PM

I just thought I would throw this out to everyone. This is a LEAN year for me with only one clutch of 12 eggs....but they will produce some knockout babies if they all hatch out okay. With a waiting list that far exceeds what I will have available, it sure would be nice to know who else is expecting (or already have) hatchlings so that I can refer people to you. Have a great weekend everyone (I know I will as a very generous person in California is donating his prized male eastern to my wildlife center for our display. Rob

I bred only 2 easterns this year…one (the solid black snake) gave me 8 perfect eggs,
And the other (my huge 7’ female) laid a large clutch, but only 3 were fertile.

So…that’s it for me.

I think my big female is getting up there in years.
I’ll have another 2 (including a nice red female) ready to go this fall.

Oh, I also bred one TX, from which I have now 6 good eggs (the other 6 turned out infertile)

One clutch, down to six good eggs out of seven good to start with, due to hatch mid-June. One clutch of texas and one clutch of unicolor.
