Do you guys recomend any specific lighting over others? I knew a few people who will use red heat lamps 24/7 rather than a day time cycle/ night time. Any thoughts on this?

I use red heat lamps instead of a 12-hour cycle light, not for any particular reason though. Most of my cages are in my bedroom by two large windows with blinds, so they pretty much get day/night cycles anyway, and I try to keep my overhead fluorescent lights on 12/12 when I'm home. The red heat lamps work great, I've never had a problem. I got them from a local Planet Pets store for about $7 per bulb.
