A couple of questions.

First of all i have about eight Anoles in one habitat which is very larege, anyhow there have been been battles for dominance between the three males and my oldest male gets walked all over by the other two younger males. The piont is he is my first and favorite and he's starting to show his ribs and hips are starting to show. and he doesnt seem to get his fair ammount of food. should i relocate him to a smaller environment. Also I've been catching the anoles in the process of mating and some of the females are looking wider. What would be a good procedure to make sure they sucessfully lay their eggs and hatch. Thanks in advance for your advice.

I would move the male to a seperate enclosure along with a girlfriend or two. Most people only recommend one male per enclosure by way of any reptile as well as anoles. Though I succesfully kept males together the stress level is higher and their is more dominace over territory and food as well as females. So for your best bet keep males apart. To try to fatten up your OLDER MALE YOU COULD OFFER A Waxworm (opps hit caps) but do so sparringly as they can be quite fatty. For taking care of the eggs they can be removed to be incubatted or placed in deli-cups in side the enclosure and allowed to incubate for the time needed at 85 degrees for 45 days. For complete info on incubation go to the website below for tips on breeding.

Hope this helps Signed,Adam Bradbury
