Venomous snakes found in tunisia?

Hi Guys

I may be going on holiday to Tunisia next summer and i was just wondering what venomous snakes i may encounter if i manage to get on holiday? thanks.

Check the EMBL reptile database (link below), they have a list for all countries - a great resource.

The species known from Tunisia are:

Vipera latastei (extreme NW only)
Macrovipera lebetina (N only)
Daboia mauritanica (N only)
Daboia deserti (C & S)
Cerastes cerastes (C & S)
Cerastes vipera (C & S)
Echis pyramidum/leucogaster (S)
Naja haje (not northern coastal strip)
