HELP!!!!!!

Okay, well I don't know how my Brazilian Rainbow Boa managed to escape out of a locked cage, still locked, it must have gotten out through the humidifier hole I guess, I will tape it after I find it... BUT Since this is the forum with the most activity, I know it's not a BRB forum, but you guys are also like the only ones that don't yell at eachother all the time, Where do you think the best places to look for it would be? The cage is in my room, so I've check all around my comp, under my bed, closet, in clothes baskets, warm places in my room.... I'm kind of worried it went in my vent, but it was shooting out cold air, so I don't think it would have... It could have gone under my door and out too... So any advice on where it COULD be I would REALLY appreciate it...

` Warm places for sure. Low traffic areas, too. Often, they end up near their habitat.
` I once caught an escaped Boa that had been gone for a few days by rigging up a clamp type spotlight, shining on the floor. The snake ended up basking under the light at 4 in the morning.
` A non-contact IR thermometer is handy for searching, too. You can go around the house, looking for warmer areas where the snake might hole up. Just a couple of degrees higher than ambient can attract them. Don't ignore colder areas, you never know.
` The last snake I lost was a BRB. I was cleaning her cage, and she disappeared right in front of me. Good luck, I hope she turns up.

Make sure there are no holes in the wall...I found my anaconda wrapped around a pipe in the wall after I put 7 large holes in looking for her (I saw her go in...I woulnd't break down the wall on a guess)...I could not get her uncoiled from the pipe but luckily you can get them to move if you put a pool of water close by. Maybe leave some dead mice laying around your room for a few days and you will catch your brb on the hunt, jk. sorry, I know this is the worst feeling in the world. DFR is right though. often times they will be close to the cage, thats where you are supplying heat. I had a ball python get out and I found her down the hallway behind the anaconda cage, squeezed between the cage and the wall. On a more serious note than leaving dead mice all over, if you put the cage with all its heat sources on the floor close to a wall with about enough space for the snake to get back there and maybe if you want you can put 1 ft mouse back there for a little while you, might even get really lucky. clothes piles are great so check them again and other than that...just pretend you are the king cobra going on the hunt and think where the best place to find a snake in your house would be. Sorry to hear about that...it is a hard feeling but most often we find them..so try and relax.

Hope you find it. It will show up sooner or later. They always do. I have found mine wrapped in bow spring matresses, inside a shop vac. While I was moving I had one of my Kingsnakes get out and found him in between my insulation and a plastic sheet in the same room he got out, funny is he had a large lump in his belly when I found him, stool sample was ok but he found a wild mouse and got him, lol. Good luck.
