When should a crestie have first shed?

I have a 5-6 month old crestie and he has not shed at all yet, he is gaining weight and eats very well.....

He probably has shed... you just haven't seen it. When cresteds shed, they don't usually leave behind their skin like a snake does. They'll actually eat it.

The likelyhood is you just didnt see it .If the humidity is proper in your setup sheds can be quite quick and very undramatic .Its very typical of cresties to eat thier shed which is why you havent seen it. A 6 month old crestie would have had to shed as theres no way for it to still ''fit in its skin'' from the time it was a hatchling.
