Hi I was given a pair of Ratsnakes but I'm not sure what species they are. The male is about 6 feet and the female is about 4 feet. Does anyone have any suggestions or are they just crosses?

OOPS WRONG PICTURE! Here is the male:

hmmmm.. i would say either texas rats or gray rats... they look more like a texas to me but that is just my opinon.
Thought it was a texas rat snake also....but I am no expert at all. Just got into rat snakes not all that long ago but I have read plenty of books, field guides, internet sites and info that people post on here but still no expert. There are plenty of people who can ID this snake for ya...
There is some variation in Texas rat snake populations, but these look identical to some that I've seen.
I would bet these are some kind of obsoleta cross, of what would be very hard to tell. I wouldnt breed them and call the lindheimeri though.
my 2 cents
