I've many times sent pics of my boas, CRB and other critters across kingsnake's wonderful forums, but I don't think I've ever posted a picture of myself. Many of you do and it really helps gain a perspective like you know to associate the name with a face. Well, here ye go!
This is after my recent hair color change (merlot and orange tiger stripes...not really the color I thought I was putting on but, I think it's cool LOL!). ;D

I was shooting some pics for my boyfriend (oh hush, they weren't naughty) who is in MA (and finally coming down here for a visit this next weekend. woo! party!)
Albeit not my best shot but I was sifting through them and thought, hey, I oughta do what many people are doing and show who I am.

Biggest hugs and smiles to my fellow herpers and educators.

Well, I just don't know what to say. Strangest looking boa I ever saw. Isn't that species difficult to keep confined? LOL

Nice to match a face with a name.

Amanda,
. I was thinking that we have been friends for quite a long time. Did we first meet on the Boa forum or was it one of the reptile chat rooms or was it even before that?

Hi Jeff!

I think...hmm...now let me think that IS a good question. I can't remember precisely but I really wanna say that I first did some research and discovered your website, and from there you told me about kingsnake. :D I don't remember how long ago that was (feels ancient, LOL) but I know it's been a few years for sure. I asked about what type of rainbow boa I had since the pet store I saw her in marked her as a brazilian and you told me all about the different types. Now we know she's a gorgeous columbian (my sweet Mystyx).

Hugs!

I'm having some trouble with mine...

Well, it's really not one of those hard-to-care for species. Just needs lots of outdoor time, loads of toys (I hear it's VERY fond of many types of video games and seems almost attached to its computer) and make sure to give it Dr. Pepper daily (or there could be trouble with lack of sugar). LOL! ;D
Love's her fellow animals but sort of shy around new humans so care must be taken to ensure any new human is decontaminated and not overly aggressive.

Hope that helps. ;D haha!

I almost can see the iridescent and vivid prismatic effect in your hair

TenorGoddess May 24, 2004 12:52 PM

hehe, yes, it's almost blinding in the sun. I'm also one of those species with tri-colored eyes. They are mostly green fading to blue on the outside of the iris, and I have one speck of brown in one eye. :D They flash bright gold when the sunlight hits them and when I wear blue, they look blue. When I wear green, well, they are green. LOL
So I think I've got some chameleon in me. :D *big grin*

Hugs!
