I wouldnt do anything different to your setup. I'm sure she layed the eggs in a spot the temp is fine at. Mine have layed eggs in several different areas and all have hatched. I see she layed them directly on the glass. You will want to avoid getting them wet when you mist. You could tape a clear deli dish over the eggs to avoid misting them and also for protection if you choose. The adults will normally watch over and be protective of the eggs but I've also experienced some egg cannibalation, I'm not sure why though. When she lays more clutches she will normally lay them in the same area unless some place she finds more desireable is found. The babies will be fine to hatch out and grow up with the adults. I place a large flat rock on the bottom of the warm end and leaned it against the back of the tank creating a nice sheltered hide. Both my females now lay their eggs there underneath the rock, this also protects the eggs from direct misting and made a nice new hide that usually one adult is always at protecting the eggs.

Thanks jim,
i put the clear cup around them 5 minutes after i discovered them, they take up to 100 days to hatch correct?
again, thanks for the advice

Depending on the Temps in the vicinity of the egg it takes 90 to 120 days, but sometimes up to 180 days till they hatch.
I would not cover them with anything.
That irritates the female and she will look out for a new place for the next eggs which tan may be less optimal.
If theres no second female in the tank and Ca supplementation is OK, tokays hardly ever eat fertile healthy eggs.
Dead or infertile eggs are eaten soon.

Good luck

Thanks ingo. In my case I had two females and the one I always caught eating the eggs was the one that hadn't laid any yet. After she began laying egg also it seemed to stop. They were fed well, all my eggs have hatched out, so I'm not to sure if they were bad but very well could have been. It was very disheartening to see your eggs you want to hatch being eaten. I stopped covering eggs long ago but am still curiuos to the effects of possible water getting directly on the eggs from misting. In my case its very hot and arid and I mist heavy twice daily to keep humidity reasonable, specially with all the hatchlings in there. Their new rock(last year) for laying eggs under solved my misting problem.

Occasional misting does not harm the eggs.
Last year one of my tokay females laid a clutch so close to the automatic mister that it was sprayed on directly twice a day. Both babies hatched withoput problems.
