I Have a Shed Question...?

Carlos_n_Paco May 23, 2004 02:40 PM

Iv'e seen my Oedura, (that I recently bought), shed twice now...and twice when it's shed, it's shed like a snake. It's strange, all my other gex eat their shed in strips kinda.....but he/she sheds in one whole peice (in tact), and don't eat it either. I know there's a few others here that keep Oedura's(Velvet), do their's shed the same way as mine does? Thanks in advance.

My velvet gex dose the same thing. Sheds like a snake all in one pices but dosne't eat it. I end up just taking it out to keep the cage clean.

When I first got my second tokay, she shed and didnt eat it for the first 3 sheds or so. I think the reason for this is that they're too stressed to worry about or just might not be used to proper shedding conditions from previous keepers. It seems to be corrected now as I see no new shed, however, it may be my other one eating it. For the record, I did not remove the shed and most of it got eaten by somebody sooner or later.

Yea, but my point was that the shed was in one whole piece,(in tact) like a snake's.
