Fadetolemons asked this question & I don't exactly know the answer, so survey time. I have 1 female who just dropped her 5th clutch this season & the other female is a day or 2 from dropping her 5th clutch. They were matched up with the same male for about 2 weeks. I keep males & females seperated except for breeding. I usually have copulation within minutes. Let me rephrase that...the GECKOS copulate within minutes! So survey question how many clutches do you get from each female per breeding season & how long did you leave the male with the female (if you seperate)?

I had 2 1.1 setups and 3 1.2 setups. I left my males in full time with the females. I have had only 5 clutches total laid since I've had them in August 03.

Before I read your post I actually seperated my males and I am going to give them 2 weeks of seperation time. I will introduce them every week to a 0.2 colony and give one male a break time for the year. He looks a little smaller than the other males so I think he needs a year off to get bigger.

I will see if this works. Maybe.

I put my female in with my male for just a few days. She has laid two infertile clutches this season, so I'm thinking I'll house them for a week or so. My male is a very aggressive breeder, and they will be copulating within 10 minutes of her introduction to his tank. Awaiting clutch one from female 2
