Is the heat produced by a 100 watt light bulb the same as a 100 watt ceramic bulb?

If you want a system that you don't have to keep changing bulbs. For example, during the winter when the furnace is on and summer when the air conditioner is on. I would go to a little larger size red or ceramic heat source and put it on a rheostat. This will allow you to bump the temp up or down without hunting for a bulb every few months. Personally I like the red bulbs on all the time with my flourescents on a timer.
