I have been having troubles with my tropical turtles.
A Twistneck, and a White Lipped Mud, specifically.
The twistneck died from what seems to have started with an RI, and did have some lesions on his skin.
Now the White Lipped Mud is having troubles breathing, and gasping for air. As though it were pneumonia.
Both were long term captives.
My northern climate turtles are fine, even those originally housed with the sick ones ( before I knew they were sick )
Water temps are around 75*, and room temps are around the same.
It is humid in the room as well due to the fact there are snakes housed in there too.
Has anyone ever had this problem with tropical turtles before?
I will add, that I had these turts a couple os seasons,so I doubt if its seasonal weather changes, meaning room temps.
I was going to buy another Twistneck, but now I'm not so sure.
Any ideas anyone?
I am also going to speak with my vet, who also collects turtles.
