Im looking for het pieds

jimfmcdonald May 23, 2004 06:45 PM

Hi you ball people ! Im jim f mcdonald and I have been selling lots of snakes on the classifieds here for many years (mostly het and albino hognose snakes) now I have decided to try my hand at breeding the balls ! I have some het for albino balls and now I am looking for some het for pied balls to start a breeding group. I have been looking on the ball classifieds but there’s a lot of different prices and I don’t want to get ripped off. So I know that I can count on all of you good ball people to steer me in the right direction. Please respond to this post or just email me direct if you know were I could get some good deals on some of these great snakes. THANKS.

JIM

if you dont wanna get ripped off, go with a large respected breeder. Try the forum sponsors.

The "big breeders" were once "nobodys"........the "lil breeders" today deserve a chance too...........do your referencing.....always

Buying hets is always a risk but it is the cheap way to produce the higher priced morphs. Buying from the Big Name breeders, with the Big Web site, and the Big Guarantee, does not mean squat. It DOES NOT guarantee that you will not get ripped off!!! The two times that I have been RIPPED OFF were both by the so called Big Name breeders. Neither of them stood behind their product and neither honored their guarantee. That doesn't mean they are all bad just like it doesn't mean that you cannot trust one of the smaller guys. Do your research on that other well known site, ask for references, and don't buy until the RIGHT deal comes along.

No doubt, plus you are more likley to get a better deal from a private individual.

Big breeders aren't "private" individuals? They are public?

You either did not understand my post, or I posted it wrong. I was agreeing that it is good to buy from "small" breeders. I call people who don't make a living at herp breeding "private". I'm sooo sorry if this is not the proper word for you.

I found that with so many posts in here this forum is more likely to misunderstand a post and take things wrong and say some pretty off the topic and crazy things. Just let it roll off your shoulder. people should not post things they don't understand or have not fully read. Watch...I will probably get jumped on for this post and it will be taken totally wrong too : )

bachman May 24, 2004 04:22 PM

I'm not taking it personally, just letting him know that he did not understand what I was saying. I know there will be lots of people who don't agree with eachother here due to the high volume of posters, and we all have our own perspective of how things should or should not be done.

I know what you mean, but Mr. Favelle just asks for it sometimes, in his own little way of trying to make fun of people.

I didn't take your post the wrong way.

I have a clutch of 50% pos het pieds that will hatch out sometime these next 2 weeks. I will also have two other clutches laid here real soon. These will be reasonably priced, have good refernces, and I will stand by my guarentee. This is my hobby, and it is what I love. Let me know if you are at all interested, or if you have any questions.

Thanks,
Ben Morrill
