Will this cage work for a cham?

Alec_B May 23, 2004 09:38 PM

Hello I have a large part screen cage that currently has no one ocupying it. The top and sides are both screen so I would say about 65% of the cage is all screen. I was wondering if this would bring enough ventilation because i know chams need a lot. I could always cut 1 of the sides out since i made the cage myself but I wanted to know if i could pass the hassle... Thx bye!

5long x2x2. I plan to convert it so it would be 5 high though. I just need to know if i have to put screen in the other sides too. Not sure if i mentioned this but theres no glass in the tank.

5x2x2 feet is perfect. And yes you should put screen on at least 3 sides.

Wait, you said 5ft long? Do you mean tall? It should be taller than it is long or wide. Chameleons are arboreal animals, meaning they live in trees, of course. So it wouldn't make much sense to have a longer cage than a tall one. Should be at least 3 feet tall.

lol. Okay nevermind. I just reread your post. 5 feet tall is great.
