Inchworms rock the house

ernstjanl May 24, 2004 11:09 AM

Hi all, my veiled, who just recovered from being sick and not eating for over ONE MONTH is now gorging himself on
Winter Moth caterpillars (green inchworms). YAY!
For the day geckos. too, its been a bonanza.
I shake a branch and get 100 to 200 caterpillars in the 1/2 to 1 inch range. Perfect for small to medium lizards and frogs.
Wish I had more lizards to feed! Want a few billion?
They eat maple and other leaves, and keep well in fridge- they're winter moths, after all......
Cheers, Ernie Luikart eluikart@capecod.net
PS - CIPRO did the trick for my sick cham, but be careful with dosage....

I wish food was that simple for me to find, I have 50 hatchlings and more on the way that eat that size food stuff. They will take 2-3 3/4" silkworms each a day. They eat even more mealworms. I have a huge mealworm colony and can't keep up with the appetite of these little ones!

Glad to hear your cham is eating again.
