Bolivian Amarali Just born.............

Philip Niforatos May 24, 2004 01:36 PM

I have just been blessed with a litter of Bolivian Amarali!!!
Mother and Father are both Joe Terry Silverback stock....mother produced by Rob Tudehope, father by Mark Bell. Looks like 14 live, 5 potatoes and 1 stillborn, exactly 105 POS, this is her fist litter....so I'm pleased. Here are a couple unfocused pics, it's hard to get them when they're on the top shelf of my boaphile!!! I'll post individual shots late today.
I wanted to give a special thanks to Kevin and Charlotte Barnett, and everyone else who so generously shares their experiences and knowledge on this board...I know I couldn't have done this without everyones help!

Looks like a nice litter for you. How's the other one doing? My peaked female still has 1 1/2 months or so left. She's freaking huge now though. She may well burst before she drops them. My big Silverback may be gravid also. Definately not 100% sure on her, if gravid she'd be 3 1/2 months away. I'm going to have to buy me an ultrasound one of these days. That would sure make life easy.

On a brighter note though I did get my first Gila egg this morning. I'm thinking it's a dud, but is probably a precurser to a nice fertile clutch in a week or so. A few other females are looking pretty good now too.
