In Memory of my little girl Holly...goodbye my little girl...

Hayblinkin May 24, 2004 05:41 PM

My desert iguana Holly passed away today much before her time. She was gravid and upon examination after death it was found that an egg burst inside of her. She had such a cute little personality and loved her greens...I will miss her dearly....

Hey....

I'm sorry to hear about your igg. Egg burst? Man, thats rugged. Well, depending on what you believe, she is probably in a better place now. Again, I'm sorry for your loss.

Yours,
Phil Clevinger

I've lost so many pets over time...it never gets easier does it?!!!!

I know how excited you were when you got her. And how much more excited you have been lately, thinking about her and her egg laying.

No, it never does get easier when we lose animal friends. I have lost alot over the years also. But I'd like to think I have also gained so many NEW friends, as well.

This is such a cool hobby, to work with all these lizards, reptiles, but there are these times that also STINK too!

I'm very sorry , you lost her. Shes a beautiful girl.

Feel better soon !

she was beautiful and very healthy looking. Did you find a reason for the egg to rupture? I would try to figure out why and keep working with these animals. Don't give up, from the looks of the animals and the concern you show for them you are doing a great job. When working with live animals you will always have deaths, you can't get around it. Keep looking forward but learn from the past. Tom
