a lot of pics i try to look at in the posts are just a black box with a red x in the middle - does anyone know how to open these. thanx.

What posts are you having problems with? You can try right-clicking the X and getting the URL for the image and pasting that into the address bar, but that does not work for a lot of causes.

Also sometimes if the photo the person posts that they originally linked to was later removed from whatever storage space they had it stored on (either the k.com gallery, their own website, or whatever), then of course the photo won't show up anymore.
