As i posted before I have a 10 foot burm who has no will to feed. Hes always been on f/t, but would trying a live rat possibly work or would it be a waste of food?

How long has it been since he has ate last. If it hasn't been that long I would not worry about it yet. If it has been over two months then I would say definitely try enticing him with a live prey. You might want to try a rabbit pup if you are able to get one. they are about the same size as a small rat but are much less dangerous. If you have to use a rat but ensure that you monitor it and be ready with a hook or something to try and keep the rats teeth away from your snake. Good luck and keep us posted. Todd
If he doesn't eat, you can always knock it out and freeze it for later.
Once an animal is converted to eating f/t you really want to only feed live again as a last resort. It has been my experience that once an animal has switched from live to f/t and then fed live again it is harder to switch them back to f/t the second time. However the previous poster is correct with the fact that if your snake doesn't eat the live prey then you just have to thump and freeze it but like I said I would wait until it is the last resort.
