I am trying to get some rare and exotic types of water turtles.
I currently have one of each of the following:
Red Ear Slider (Chrysemys Scripta)
Mississippi Map (Graptemys Kohni)
Yellow Belly Slider (Trachemys Scripta)
Western Painted (Chrysemys Picta Bellii)
Western Spiny Softshell (Apalone Spinifera Hartwegi)
East African Sideneck (Pelusios Subniger)
Loggerhead Musk (Sternotherus Minor)
Hieroglyphic River Cooter (Pseudemys Concinna Hieroglyphica)
I am trying to get the following as hatchlings:
Florida Softshell (Apalone Ferox)
Southern Painted Turtle (Chrysemys Picta Dorsalis)
Spotted Turtle (Clemmys Guttata)
Florida Chicken Turtle (Deirochelys Reticularia Chrysea)
Blanding's Turtle (Emys Blandingii)
Northern Diamondback Terrapin (Malaclemys Terrapin Terrapin)
Florida Red-bellied Cooter (Pseudemys Nelsoni)
Smooth Softshell (Apalone Mutica)
Reeves' Turtle (Chinemys Reevesii)
Gibba Turtle (Emys Gibba)
Pig-nosed Turtle/Fly River (Carettochelys Insculpta)
Mata Mata Turtle (Chelus Fimbriatus)
The environment is not a problem, may main concerns are:
1. Can these all get along if they are always together and were together as hatchlings?
2. Which, if any, shouldn't go in a pond together with the rest?
3. Anyone know of any nice aquatic turtles not on my list?
4. Are any of the turtles on the want list not an "Aquatic" turtle? (i.e. aquatic as like maps and sliders)
Thank you for taking the time to read through all my ramblings!
T-out
