how hot will cause a burn?

mistysprouse May 25, 2004 12:11 AM

just wondering at what temp a snake could get burned at?

I have had new cages built and I am putting in radiant heat panels (from big apple herp), they are getting pretty hot to the touch (roof mounted). The directions say that these panels don't get hot enough to burn the snake but they seem pretty hot to me. I am using a thermostat to control them. I haven't put any snakes in the cage yet as I am still testing all of this stuff out first.

I think (not 100% positive) that it would have to be over 130F to burn them. You should be fine with the heat panels.

Good luck,
Chad
