Hunchbacked newt?

This may sound kind of odd, but has anyone ever encounter a newt who looks like he has a hunchback? I've had this one for about a year and a half now, so I don't think it's something fatal... I don't remember noticing it when I bought him. It tends to look more pronounced after he eats, but I'm not sure if that's important or not. Any help would be appreciated.
