Can we see your boaphile setup?? And your Moonstruck setup

Diego May 25, 2004 09:40 AM

For those of you with boaphile tanks.. could you please post any pictures that you might have handy? I would like to see how you guys have your tanks setup, arranged, decorated etc etc. What options (if any) you added...

Also if you have any moonstruck tanks... those pics would be nice as well.

Jeffs tanks are nice, just too pricey when adding on other items...

Since I really cannot decide on which ones I would like to invest in... im going to be ordering 1 of each.. and then order some stacks at a later date...

This is sort of off topic from what you wanted. But if you do go with Jeffs tanks, are you going to want to get the expandable end installed?

His 4 foot tanks are well enough space for an adult boa, but at the same time I would want to give my snakes more crawl space. I was thinking of ordering one of his stacks, and if I were I would have probably added the expandable end option (which would also mean that i would needed the x2 heat and eventually buy another stack with an expandable left end which is even more expensive).. but have going back and forth weather or not this is really necessary,

The best usually costs significantly more... in this case, I believe the best are available at a tremendous discount compared to the competitors and knock-offs.

Email me at rollojoe@hotmail.com and I will send you some pics of some of my older set-ups of Boaphile Plastics and Racks... you can then post them here if you'd like - be my guest.

... last I remembered, 'tanks' are made of glass and are measured in gallons...

Thanks, Joe

I have been eagerly awaiting your photos of your setup... did you not receive my email??

bcijoe May 26, 2004 09:59 AM

I had several email transactions with someone and sent them a bunch of photots - I thought it was you?
We had lots of communication, and you told me you live in NY, about your family and your age, and that you would like to have a collection/set-up like mine someday...
am I losing my mind?

Thanks, JOe

I can't say I like the old boaphiles that much, I've seen the new ones in person & they are much nicer once you ad a 3rd hing & latch.

Yes I know what you mean. Did you add the "expandable end" onto these tanks or are they just the single 4 footers. IM not sure on if im wanting the black or the white setup.. should i end up going black i would definately get the 3 black hinges, but would also opt for the 2 keylocks instead of the 2 latches

JasonReese May 27, 2004 08:14 AM

If you get the black You may want to have a light installed. even in a well light room it can be hard see whats going on in the back of the cage, which can be important when your waiting to see if a female is ovulating, breeding, or that pre birth waxy stool.
I didn't get the expandable ends, I just thought if I wanted a 6' or 8' cage I would buy one rather then paying all that extra money for expandable ends that would most likly never use.
