COLOR MORPH NAME NEEDED AND NEED TO FIND A BREEDER

deejacdesigns May 25, 2004 12:48 PM

hey i once saw on another green tree forum ,a long time ago..a really nice snake..i dont remember the name of the morph or breeder..i think it was an old post in the fine green tree forum(wasnt able to find post in archives)...i know that this is a long shot but id like to describe what i saw and maybe someone knows what im talking about and can help me find the breeder/morph...its a needle in a hay stack but im banking on the fact that this snake was by far the nicest green tree i have ever seen and was truly a one of a kind..anyway here goes...the snake was half blue and half black ...not like a blue phase you see ,like blue green,no...this snake had no green on him at all or greenish tint....he was like a dark blue and jet black specs...his whole body had this royal blue color(like the color of the top of this page) and jet black all in speckles..like one scale was royal blue the next scale was black..and that pattern ran the whole length of his body...and what i remember about the owner was he was not a breeder...i belive it was the only snake he owned but he mentioned the breeders name and it was a well known breeder..and the only other think i could say that would help was i am almost certain that the owner said he was from alaska...90 percent sure it was alaska but if not alaska then it was canada..but the breeder was from the united states...if this rings any bells and if anyone knows the snake im talking about or knows a name for this color morph, knows the breeder or has a link to the original picture on the other forum ..id really love to have it...im in the market for another snake and finally have enough money to afford a snake like that.anyway im sure its impossible to describe a snake and have someone know what im talking about but this snake was really like no other green tree i have ever seen..no green on him at all!!..and tons of black!!...more black and royal blue than i have ever seen on a green tree..also the fact that the owner was from alaska,im hoping that there are not too many alaskan green tree owners who have posted pics on that forum...thanks

I'm pretty sure you're thinking of Rich Culver, but he has more than one chondro. The snake you're talking about could be offspring from a few breeders......Greg Maxwell, Trooper Walsh, Buddy Goetzer, or Tim Morris. I know of a few animals that fit the description you speak of, and the price is pretty hefty for such bloodlines. Expect to pay $2500-5000 for animals with these characteristics.....and that's just for hatchlings. Yearlings and older animals will usually be double the price.

It is definatly Rich Culver your thinking of and I beleive the animal your talking about is a Tim Morris animal

Yup DEFINALY Rich, I'm sure you can ask him if he'll sell it.. Though im 90% sure he would laugh unless you flashed a very very very large sum of money at him. I know I wouldnt part with that animal for less than 15k.

Thing is, those types of chondros Don't come around very often at all.

Your best bet i would say is to get on Sean Stewarts blue x blue list *he might have offspring now*

Or Greg Maxwells Mearuke outcross x Pepper list.

Thanks (Chondro friends--Brandon, Robert & Julian)) for "noting" that the wild black-n-blue chondro described above is in fact owned by lucky me. It is a cluchmate to Sean's Goliath, so one knows its genetic background and fully proven blue potential for breedings. This male, "Mitey-Blue" was hatched by Tim Morris in 2000 and will soon be cycled for a few interesting projects--all in the name of "blue". Keep a lookout for details....

Deejacdesigns--thanks for the complements on the chondro. he's definitely one of my hotties

Rich Culver
